The message from the festival was clear: we are at a pivot point, our moment of choice.
Modern society is leaving us financially, spiritually and emotionally impoverished, making us see ourselves as separate. It can feel overwhelming to be at this inflection point in modern history, where everything has to change, and quickly. However, it is entirely within our power to create a different story for ourselves and all life on Earth. In reality, we are whole and interconnected and are being woken up and invited on a journey of radical and practical action.
Infinite growth on a finite planet is not possible; traditional economic models overlook Nature. It's time to completely rethink how we measure economic success.
Every decision we make impacts Nature; she is a gift, not a commodity. Reciprocity is the key to working in kinship with the natural world. We must not take more than we can give.
We must move forward in unity with the land; unity with suppliers and our communities. Gaia evolves through cooperation, not competition.
It will take a global community of businesses, organisations and stakeholders to make the changes we need.
As Reboot the Future said, “Individually we are one drop, together we are an ocean.” We need to move beyond being just care-takers of the land, to actively leave it better than we found it.

We encourage every one of you to be a mouthpiece for this work in whatever capacity you can. Radical, decisive action is needed urgently and the more people who find their place in bringing about change, the better. This conversation should be one that all communities want to be a part of so please share and listen beyond your immediate sphere of influence.
Regulation is needed across the board so brands doing the right thing can compete and thrive more effectively. However, regulation alone is not enough, as it can be slowed down through lobbying. A market shift has the potential to change things overnight. We urge all of you to use your businesses as a vehicle of education, hope, compassion and care.
Take advice from business peers, use the templates of other businesses and adapt them to your own context. Most importantly, share what you are doing.
When things are achieved, it is not the end, it is just the beginning of something else. And achievements shared publicly could be the beginning of someone else’s journey.
Here’s to yours…
