The heart of the home, House of Hackney’s co-founders Frieda Gormley and Javvy M Royle opted to take a traditional approach to decorating the kitchen of their London townhouse. “The bones of the space are quite classic, we have put in a beautiful DeVol kitchen, parquet flooring and a traditional kitchen table. We wanted to nod to the Moroccan theme of the rest of the house, layering textiles and print but keeping the colour palette quite fresh at the same time.” The ‘Mamounia’ stripe wallpaper in a stylish burgundy and teal colourway is part of House of Hackney’s collaboration with French design house, Zuber. Copper pans hang proudly above the cooker, greenery cascades bountifully over the table and sleek black appliances lend a truly modern finish in this stylish hub of the home.
