The Garden of Tomorrow

The Garden of Tomorrow Festival is a collective of positive disruptors, activists, artists and organisations. We believe in the power of creativity and collaboration to make a change. We believe in a future where we are a part of Nature, not apart from it.

Presented by House of Hackney, this festival of ideas is a coming together of passionate advocates for the regeneration of Nature for the quality of life of all future generations.

In the face of the Climate & Nature crises, we come together to convert radical ideas into practical action today, to ensure a better tomorrow.

The Garden of Tomorrow is a place where we plant and cultivate ideas, inspiration and hope for the future.

The Garden of Tomorrow Festival is a think tank for change, with the aim to inspire other leaders and consumers to do things differently to be in better service to our beautiful planet and fellow kin. It’s a forum, a community, a space to come together and learn, share and grow through workshops, talks and events with wisdom keepers, thought leaders and industry insiders.

Launched in 2023, The Garden of Tomorrow is an open-to-all programme hoping to educate and ignite new ways of doing by sharing knowledge, inciting action, planting and cultivating ideas, inspiration and hope for the future.

It is time to write a new story that includes us in the continuum of the planet we call home. We need to move from a worldview of domination and exploitation to a kin-centric one that honours our place in the ecosystem.

The Festival is aimed at everyone who is interested in creating a Nature-centric society. We believe in the collective power to create change at a grassroots level. As the current custodians of the planet, we have a deep responsibility and an opportunity to shift the course we are on and bring ourselves back to Nature. Only then will we begin to truly remedy our relationships with ourselves, each other and the rest of life on Earth.

Nature is our Business

Nature is our Business

For the inaugural Festival in June 2023, we welcomed almost 250 people through our doors over two days, and focused on the theme of ‘Nature is our Business’. We gathered visionary leaders and founders to share alternative models and practical ways of operating a business that values people and planet.

For in these critical times where the old operating models have failed people and planet we need to convert radical thinking into radical (and practical) action.

We Are Nature

We Are Nature

The 2024 Festival with its theme of ‘We Are Nature’ aimed to help co-create a vision for a Nature-centric society which benefits all planetary stakeholders.

With the help of our collective, we inspired and incubated collaborative ideas and collective impact that can be translated into practical ways to move towards this societal shift.

To help usher in this new narrative, over the course of the festival we explored the future course we urgently need to take. We looked at how we arrived at our current position of disconnection to Nature and how to remedy it; How call planetary stakeholders could benefit from a society that recognises humans as being part of Nature and the shifts we need to make in our definitions, language, practices and laws to ensure a better, more connected future for all life on earth.

The Garden of Tomorrow Festival will return in Summer 2025.
