This FORIS cotton-linen is a well-considered choice for a Roman blind. Linen is a natural temperature regulator that keeps rooms cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Cotton softens the hand feel, and the nylon component adds structural resilience, helping the blind hold its shape and stack cleanly over years of use.
Made to measure in England
Every blind is cut and made to your exact dimensions by Premierchoice in Cambridgeshire, a British workroom that has been crafting made-to-measure window treatments since the 1970s. Pattern-matching is done by hand and each blind is finished with a weighted base bar to ensure a clean, flat fall.
Lining
Roman blinds are lined as standard, adding body, insulation, and protection for the face fabric against UV degradation. A blackout lining option is available for bedrooms, nurseries, or any room where light control is a priority.
Care
This House of Hackney blind is dry-clean only ; the dyes, weave, and construction are worth protecting, and with proper care it will hold its colour and structure for decades. Made in England. Every metre sold funds the purchase and protection of 35 square metres of forest through the World Land Trust.

STEP 1: Measure the room
Before placing your order, be sure to map out the space where you would like the furniture to sit by laying masking tape or newspaper, corresponding to the design’s widest dimensions, onto the floor. You can find the dimensions of each House of Hackney piece under the ‘Product Details’ section of the individual product pages on our website. TIP: It’s a smart move to leave a little wiggle room either side of your chair or sofa, so that it doesn’t have to be wedged into place. Ideally, you want enough of a gap to walk around the piece – or nestle a side table or lamp next to it if desired.
STEP 2: Measure your home
Next, taking into account the height (H), width (W) and depth (D) of your chosen furniture, you will need to measure your home to ensure the piece can comfortably reach the room in which it will live – so think about the doorways, hallways and stairwells it will need to pass through to get there.
