A Design Consultation is £295 for a two hour appointment. The total appointment cost is redeemable against House of Hackney purchases over £1000.

Design Consultancy Terms & Conditions

  • The minimum consultation time is 2 hours and is priced at £295 inclusive of VAT. The total appointment cost is redeemable against House of Hackney purchases over £1000.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking and bookings can be made up to 48 hours in advance of the consultation.
  • Consultations which last less than 2 hours are still charged at the minimum £295.
  • Payment for a consultation is taken at the time of booking, we will then arrange a suitable time and date with you.
  • Cancellations less than 48 hours before the consultation appointment will still be charged.
  • The consultant’s travel costs within London and greater London (Zones 1-6) are included in the cost of your appointment. Travel outside of London is charged at 50p per mile, payable when the appointment time is confirmed.
  • Our consultant will do everything they can to attend the appointment at the agreed date and time, if circumstances beyond our control arise (e.g. travel or weather related) we will rearrange the appointment for a mutually convenient time.
  • After your appointment, your consultant will prepare a full, bespoke specification with their fabric and wallpaper recommendations and cost estimations to help provide a clear vision of the finished project. This will be emailed to you within 24 hours (Monday – Friday) and a hard copy will be sent by post.
  • Our team are happy to help and consult on various products and finishes. The final choice is made by the customer so please ensure you’re happy before committing to ordering any products.
  • We are happy to advise on services and recommend products from other brands or companies, however we cannot guarantee the quality or finish of these third-party goods or services.
  • Generally only one consultant would attend the appointment, occasionally they may be accompanied by a trainee consultant.
  • Please be aware that we cannot accept returns or exchanges on any bespoke products that are purchased as part of a design consultation.
  • Consultation appointments are only available to customers over the age of 18.
  • We reserve the right to refuse any appointment booking. 
  • Any measurements taken during a design consultation are preliminary measurements for the purposes of providing a quote and will need to be verified by a qualified fitter either during the appointment or at a later date.

Because of the way our wallpaper is printed, you must measure from floor to ceiling inclusive of any windows and doors.

Please note: our wallpaper is printed in batches and occasional colour variances can occur, therefore we suggest ordering an extra roll – you may return any unopened rolls to us for a refund.
