Design Notes
The name for AMARANTHINE is rooted in the Greek word amarantos meaning everlasting. So it follows that this motif is an eternally elegant damask drawn from the archives of Gainsborough the renowned silk weaving mill. Now reinterpreted as a sumptuous rug this design is woven by another of Britains oldest and most prestigious manufacturers: Axminster Carpets. Celebrating traditional craftsmanship and timeless design its made from supremely soft wool (carefully sourced from British sheep) and finished with tactile fringing.
