Here's a carpet that brings new meaning to the phrase history in the making. While its Art Nouveau motif, BLACKTHORN part of our collaboration with the William Morris Gallery dates back to 1892, this design is woven from sumptuous British wool by Axminster Carpets, creators of the worlds finest floor coverings since 1755. Yet despite all this (and the fact its made to last for decades to come), this carpet is thoroughly modern, thanks to its statement shade of Petrol and slyly gothic undertones (note the skull lurking amongst the symmetrical blooms).
Each item sold enables House of Hackney to purchase and protect 35 square metres of forest, thanks to our partnership with the World Land Trust the international conservation charity that safeguards our most vital natural ecosystems and threatened habitats, acre by acre.

Wondering how much your chosen carpet might be? On average, a small room measuring 4m x 3m would require 12sqm of carpet – costing £2220.
A medium-sized room measuring 5m x 4m would require 20sqm of carpet – costing £3700.
And a large room measuring 6m x 4m would require 24sqm of carpet – costing £4440.
Carpets have a lead time of 12-14 weeks.
