ANDASTRA Velvet - Amazonite
In stock - Please allow up to 5 working days for delivery.
Named after the ancient warrior goddess of Britain, ANDASTRA is a hand-painted damask with distinctive bands of colour in the background. Based on a motif we found in the archives of Gainsborough, the renowned silk weaving house, we have purposely preserved the original draftsmans grids (which were used to plot the design onto the loom) as our way of celebrating the time-honoured craft of weaving fabrics. Printed in Britain on luxurious velvet, it makes for extravagant full-length curtains or reupholstered furniture.
Each metre sold enables House of Hackney to purchase and protect 35 square metres of forest, thanks to our partnership with the World Land Trust the international conservation charity that safeguards our most vital natural ecosystems and threatened habitats, acre by acre.
