Design Notes
Named after the ancient warrior goddess of Britain ANDASTRA is a hand-painted damask based on a motif we found in the archives of Gainsborough the renowned silk weaving house. Purposely preserving the original draftsmans grids (which were used to plot the design onto the loom) as our way of celebrating the time-honoured craft of weaving it swathes the velvet Trematon lampshade handcrafted in Britain to an extravagant silhouette complete with luxurious fringing.
