Design Notes
The name for AMARANTHINE is rooted in the Greek word amarantos, meaning everlasting. So, it follows that this print is an eternally elegant damask, drawn from the archives of the renowned silk weaving mill, Gainsborough. Now given our signature psychedelic touch with an overprinted look (thus creating a shadow effect), the motif drapes across the velvet Isabella lampshade handcrafted in Britain to a Victorian-inspired shape with striped fringing in bronze and topaz-blue.
Each item sold enables House of Hackney to purchase and protect 35 square metres of forest, thanks to our partnership with the World Land Trust the international conservation charity that safeguards our most vital natural ecosystems and threatened habitats, acre by acre.
