The name for AMARANTHINE is rooted in the Greek word amarantos meaning everlasting. So it follows that this motif is an eternally elegant damask drawn from the archives of Gainsborough the renowned silk weaving mill. Now reinterpreted as a sumptuous runner this design is woven by another of Britains oldest and most prestigious manufacturers: Axminster Carpets. Made from supremely soft wool (carefully sourced from British sheep) its a celebration of both traditional craftsmanship and timeless design.

Wondering how much your chosen runner might be? For the average flight of straight stairs with 13 steps, you would require a runner of approx. 7 metres – costing £1995.
Alternatively, for the average flight of stairs with a winder/turn (either at the top or bottom) and 11 steps, you would require a runner of approx. 9 metres – costing £2565.
Please note these estimates are a guide price only, based on average staircase measurements. To ensure your measurements are accurate, we recommend seeking advice from a professional fitter who has experience of working with Axminster carpets (or their equivalent). If you’d like help with finding a fitter, would like to request a quote or have any other questions regarding our runners, please contact our Customer Services team.
