Voysey's Garden

Originally designed by possibly the finest Arts and Crafts designer and architect, C.F.A. Voysey, the whimsical 'Voysey's Garden' has been updated in a delicate palette of dusky pinks, pastel greens and sunny yellows. The design, held in the V&A’s archive, was first created by Voysey in 1926 and shows British plants, birds and insects arranged individually as might be seen in an early printed herbal or natural history manual. The print has been reworked for the Little House of Hackney collection to include a Victorian stripe with the contemporary nursery in mind.
