Opportunities

Graphic Designer

House of Hackney was founded in London in 2010 by Javvy M Royle and Frieda Gormley as a new generational lifestyle brand. The brand is entering an exciting private equity backed growth phase with multi-channel expansion. We are recruiting an experienced Graphic Designer to join the team at House of Hackney, to lead and deliver branding for the business across all channels, in line with the business’ commercial strategy. This is an important and dynamic role in the business. Reporting to Ecommerce Manager and Directors.

THE ROLE

BRAND

  • Owning all digital and print touchpoints, assets or materials and ensuring they are ‘on-brand’ and appropriately represent House of Hackney’s brand and ethos.
  • Driving the brand message forward, creating new ways of communicating the brand through on and offline content and media.
  • Competitor analysis and monitoring

DIGITAL

  • Lead design on new website developments, developing and executing design enhancements based on high-level briefs.
  • Active role in development project workflow from scoping user journeys, through wireframing, to delivering final designs to developers/ecommerce team.
  • Designing website development in a responsive environment.
  • Art direction and execution of visual assets for key online content including Homepage content, social media, newsletters, affiliate banners, lookbooks, brochures, blog posts and any other on-site content.
  • Creating product stories and concepts for online features and rich-media content.
  • Proactively/constantly identify new opportunities to improve the design of the site.
  • Designing and project managing seasonal launches for the website in line with the company calendar.
  • Managing ecommerce image selection process with the design team.
  • Image sourcing, re-touching and other editing.

PRINT

  • Art direction and execution of visual assets for key print content including packaging, catalogues, brochures, lookbooks, in-store display and other printed materials.
  • Working with external print suppliers through to final artwork delivery.
  • Project management from idea conception to artwork delivery.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL

  • Have experience in a similar role in a luxury brand environment
  • Work well under pressure and have exceptional organisational skills
  • Advanced ability with Adobe Creative Suite software

Ecommerce Manager

This role is responsible in full for the digital retail channel which is one of the fastest growing channels in the business. This is a management position that covers ecommerce trading, digital marketing, website infrastructure, digital brand presence and customer experience. Within the business, this role is responsible for the web team and graphic design with 3 direct reports, and works alongside other senior-level management individuals in other channels.
House of Hackney are in a phase of rapid growth and are targeting 100% growth yoy in 2017/8 within the digital channel, which is supported by new investment into the business. This role is an exciting challenge and opportunity for an experienced candidate who will drive the business forward.

W E B S I T E

  • Working closely with development agency on web projects, improvements, bug fixes and updates
  • Working with hosting agency on website infrastructure, flagging any issues and communicating between all third parties
  • Project manage ongoing support work as well as larger web projects
  • Write briefs, gather and scope requirements and create wireframes for new functionality and improvements to the website – Briefing graphic designer and development agency
  • Responsible for all site content, ensuring it is up to date, refreshed constantly, relevant.
  • Identify improvements for the website infrastructure, user journeys and functionality
  • Report on web sales and behaviour and use analysis to drive improvements
  • Ongoing analysis using google analytics: presenting weekly report to team in trade meetings, reviewing performance of campaigns/launches etc, performing ad-hoc analysis

T R A D I N G

  • Managing, updating and using a content and trading planner, looking at trading patterns and trade schedules to plan messaging and content across email, social and site content.
  • Manage product catalogue online: coordinate product information, copy and imagery with relevant teams.
  • Managing buying & production teams to ensure correct product information is online at all times
  • Merchandising the site in line with best-selling lines, trade patterns, seasonal trends and marketing messaging
  • New season or in-season product launches, launching new collections online
  • Weekly content and homepage updates

  • D I G I T A L M A R K E T I N G

  • Planning, building and sending weekly marketing emails
  • Managing, optimising and updating welcome program and other automated email campaigns
  • Managing Email partner (Dotmailer) and being main point of contact for that relationship
  • Working closely with PPC agency to man¬¬age advertising campaigns
  • Managing all SEO activity
  • CRM: managing VIP customer list with Customer Services Manager, handling new development for loyalty and client retention
  • Social Media: overseeing content, messaging and timings for social media and its performance

    Senior Financial controller / Head of Finance

    House of Hackney was founded in London in 2010 by Javvy M Royle and Frieda Gormley as a new generational lifestyle brand. The Company is growing extremely rapidly and has recently taken on investment to support continued growth across channels both domestically and internationally. It is now recruiting a Senior FC / Head of Finance to support this development.

    This is a senior role within the business with the opportunity to grow it into the FD role within 3-5 years for the right candidate. It is a highly analytical and operationally driven role for an ambitious finance professional seeking or wishing to further a career in the luxury goods and/or fashion industry. .

    Accounting qualifications (ACA or ACCA or equivalents a must) and experience in practice and industry preferred. Experience of Brightpearl advantageous.

    • Setting up and managing daily, weekly, monthly and annual financial reporting and budgeting
    • Financial modelling and forecasting
    • Treasury and cash management
    • Putting in place and measuring financial and operational KPI analysis, including stock control and working capital management
    • Managing banking relationships
    • Supporting senior managers, the directors and board in key decision making

    Senior Account Executive - Wholesale & Trade

We are recruiting a Senior Account Executive to join the team at House of Hackney, to lead and deliver on the brand’s international growth expansion across the fast-growing wholesale and trade channels. This is an important and dynamic role in the business, reporting to Head of Wholesale and Directors.

    THE CANDIDATE

    We are looking for a passionate, driven sales person with strong strategic planning qualities and a proven track record in sales growth with minimum 3 years’ sales experience.


    THE ROLE

    • Delivers and aims to exceed departmental sales, services and margin plans.
    • Identifies wholesale KPIs objectives and SLAs.
    • Identifies potential sales opportunities for the brand and seeks out the right partnerships.
    • Coordinates sales activity with Production/ Marketing/Finance and Dispatch in line with sales calendar.
    • Manages sales campaigns.
    • Analyses existing Sales Data and creates and executes sales plans to drive growth.
    • Ensures effective communication at all levels, internally and externally, and continuously guarantees all information is provided to customers in a timely, accurate and appropriate way.
    • Manages wholesale critical path with Head of wholesale and organise sales process from start to finish.
    • Produces weekly/monthly reports including best sellers, MTD and YTD.
    • Works closely with production teams on stock support.
    • Forecasts sales with Head of Sales.
    • Assumes responsibility for growing spend of biggest sales accounts.
    • Strong brand ambassador leading by example in their behaviour to positively inspire their team, representing the House of Hackney brand and core values, upholding the set organizational tools and company initiatives.
    • Supports Head of wholesale in management of their team, coaching productivity and performance of everyone.
    • Builds and manages Key external stakeholder relationships (e.g. stockists, distributors) to ensure maximum return on investment and to deliver company objectives.
    • Partner training and development – identifies what is needed for partners to be best trained to sell the brand and propose training scheme.
