Wholesale Manager

THE ROLE

  • Delivers and aims to exceed departmental sales, services and margin plans.
  • Represents the House of Hackney brand and core values, upholding the set organizational tools and company initiatives.
  • Identifies potential sales opportunities for the brand and seeks out the right partnerships proposing to directors once researched.
  • Builds and manages Key external stakeholder relationships (e.g. stockists, distributors) to ensure maximum return on investment and to deliver company objectives.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

THE ROLE

  • Manage Key business suppliers to deliver company objectives, margin, on time deliveries and quality.
  • Forward plan new seasons to deliver ranges on time in line with set company calendar.
  • Manages and drives company critical path.
  • Suggest areas of improvement on product quality and price.
  • Review shipping options and suggest most economical method of transport for the business.
  • Manage and support production team to deliver their KPIs, developing team members to guide them to the next level, reviewing performance to suggest areas of development and future growth.
  • Use option plans to set SKUs.
  • Oversee sampling & production packs to send to all suppliers for all product.
  • Set quality standards and review received production to ensure quality is in line with standard - random % checks of received bulk.
  • Sampling process management to ensure product development is delivered on time and to standard.
  • Manage all component stock to ensure orders are placed in time to deliver finished items.
  • Review previous sales to propose order top ups.
  • Propose quantities of product to book based on company stock targets and current stock levels.
  • Liaise with warehouse team to forward plan incoming deliveries and outbound supplier component orders, giving warehouse a forward 4 week rolling forecast.
  • Oversee updating of delivery schedule weekly to reflect current orders on PO.
  • Issue out the delivery schedule weekly across the business to show all inbound free and committed stock, by week.
  • Review and monitor supplier deliveries and measure their OTIF. Flag issues to senior management to suggest problem suppliers.
  • Visit and contact new suppliers to improve sourcing where needed.
  • Raise claims for stock received damaged and short delivered.
  • Oversee sourcing and supply base to deliver the changing and growing needs of the business.
  • Review margin targets set and advise team on areas to improve to deliver target.
  • Supervises cost negotiation to ensure best possible prices are achieved, and product is bought in the most economical way.
  • Support the operations manager to deliver SLAs and guide with team management, adhoc issues.
  • Review stock levels in the business and suggest solutions for problem areas.
  • Review business process and suggest areas of improvement to ensure most efficient workflow for the team and business.
  • Ensure new business process is followed and executed within teams.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Currently working at Production Manager level or very experienced Production co-ordinator looking for the next step.
  • Must have experience managing a team.
  • Must be working in a fast paced environment and able to prioritise.
  • Strong problem solving skills.

Merchandise Admin Assistant (MAA)

House of Hackney is seeking a MAA (Merchandise Admin Assistant) to work on building and maintaining all categories across sales channels, potentialising what sells in each. The candidate should have strong analytical skills and will work closely with the Production team to analyse sales, monitor individual line performance and focus on maximising sales through stock allocation and replenishment. As this job is numerical and analytical, these skills are necessary, and a good knowledge of Excel will also be required.

THE ROLE

  • Ensure relevant and appropriate editorial coverage is achieved as per the agreed strategy, including pitching news stories, announcement and product placements, event press.
  • Managing press lists and distribution of press releases/photography.
  • Handle press inquiries quickly and effectively with the support of an intern. Meet with media to develop and nurture relationships.
  • Monitor, distribute and archive editorial coverage. Liaise with international partners and also internally on a regular basis regarding general company activity and initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of creative routes to maximize press coverage and product.
  • Support Creative Director with event concept and shoot concepts for seasonal campaigns.
  • Manage and co-ordinate all events for the business including press days, launches and events at the flagship store.
  • In charge of branded event guidelines and communicate these with international partners.
  • Manage special projects such as brand/designer collaborations.

  • Research on trends in regards life style/events and collaborations in the fashion industry

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Account Executive with solid working experience in public relations and special projects, ideally within the luxury interiors, lifestyle and fashion sphere.
  • Minimum of 2 years in-house or agency experience.
  • Experience with influencers and social media.

THE ROLE- ECOMMERCE

  • Preparing the website to launch new products and marketing campaigns.
  • Assisting with maintaining and updating the online catalogue - creating and updating product and category records with a variety of assets.
  • Creating and testing onsite promotions.
  • Involvement in website testing and bug reporting.
  • Execution of on-site product and category merchandising, creating and merchandising new categories and edits to support the trading plan.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained and are accurate.
  • Use analytics and performance information to report on e-commerce / website performance (sales, costs, product performance, customer behaviour, site metrics, etc.), identifying and implementing opportunities for organic growth.

THE ROLE- MARKETING

  • Contribute towards the marketing planner, suggesting ideas for emails and homepage updates in line with company and external event calendar.
  • Work closely with our social agency on paid for social advertising across Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest, creating new and optimizing existing adverts.
  • Updating the homepage on a weekly basis, considering sales and highly searched terms.
  • Building and sending weekly emails using Dotmailer.
  • Work on automated email programs, suggesting ideas and assisting in the creation of the programs.

THE ROLE

  • Working within the Online team this role is the first point of contact for customers contacting the online shop.
  • This role is responsible for ensuring that all communication and action taken enables the online team to improve, maintain and deliver exceptional customer service to our clients. This position requires the individual to take ownership of their business area and believe that delivering exceptional customer service is pivotal to the success of the business.
  • The main objective of this role is to take responsibility for delivering and increasing the direct website sales while providing the highest levels of customer care during this busy sale period.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Being the first point of contact for our customers contacting the website, ensuring all communication is answered within the channel SLA’s including Phone, Email and Live Chat.
  • Logging and managing customer data ensuring that it is captured accurately and is maintained as required.
  • Identifying high spending or priority level customers and passing over to manage our VIP Manager as part of our retention strategy.
  • Dealing with all customer enquiries and sales orders (including bespoke), chasing deliveries, resolving simple technical issues and forwarding client queries to relevant teams where necessary.
  • Managing the returns process; ensuring returns are processed within 24 hours of arrival.
  • Responding to any complaints, logging this data as required and escalating to the Customer Services Manager and Head of Ecommerce to ensure the issue is resolved in a timely and suitable manner.
  • Ensuring customers updated regularly regarding any ongoing queries.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Be passionate about offering excellent Customer Service.
  • Have proven experience working in Customer Care in an online business.
  • Have previous experience using software such as Zendesk is desirable.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be a good team player.
